I practice healing and look at my work as bringing harmony to the world I impact. I love what I do and impart. I received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) in Psychology. Subsequently, I was employed in an analytical chemistry laboratory engaged in Diabetes Research at the Yale School of Medicine before deciding to return for advanced study. I wanted to directly have an impact on others’ lives so I then studied for, and received my Masters Degree from Central Connecticut State University in Psychology as well as an Advanced Certificate in Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut with an office in Glastonbury. I studied continuing education obtaining certificates from the Women’s Consortium for example, in classes and seminars on topics such as hoarding, obsessive compulsive disorder, alternative methods to treating chronic pain as well as other topics including anger management, stress management and multicultural diversity. Additionally, I have experience working at a non-profit mental health and substance abuse agency for about 12 years where I learned and applied my education and developed many of my skills and practices in crisis intervention, prevention, group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and providing psychosocial evaluations and individual therapy. On a personal level, my husband and I live in Manchester, Connecticut, with our many cats and friendly dogs (our “fur babies.”) My father was an engineer and my mother was in banking and insurance. Additionally, I enjoy practicing a healthy lifestyle and love yoga, cooking and nutrition, walking meditations and biking.
